Summer's on the way...

The new Board of Directors for the Queens Park Homeowners Association held their first meeting on Thursday night, April 26th at the East Naples Fire Department on Davis Boulevard.  New President Richard Stanfield called the meeting to order at 6:30.  After moving through the procedural items, the Board heard several appeals from homeowners regarding lawn maintenance fines and an ARB appeal from Bougain Villas about replacing a fence that encroaches on a utility easement.

The Board of Directors decided to follow the lead established at the February BOD meeting and tabled 4 more $5,000 lawn maintenance fines until June when the cases will be reviewed.  Board President announced a new initiative called the Community Cares Committee.  The Committee will organize events to help homeowners who have fallen on hard times and need help with maintenance issues around their property.  We will be looking for volunteers to give nothing but some of their time and sweat to lend a helping hand to a neighbor

The meeting had a consistent theme of improving communications and cooperation between homeowners in order to turn our Community into a Neighborhood.  Please be involved and help make Queens Park the most desired address in all of Naples

Hurray, hurray!  we are finally again scheduled to hold our meetings at the East Naples Fire Station, 4798 Davis Blvd.  We have it for a year.  The day is now the fourth Thursday of the month but the meetings still start at 6:30 pm.  This means our next monthly BOD meeting will be Thursday, May 25th at 6:30 pm.

The new Board will surely want your help and input on ways we can make Queens Park a great looking community with an old fashioned "neighborhood" spirit.

There have been multiple coyote sightings on or around Duchess Drive.  Remember friends, this is Florida and we are not on the top of the food chain here.  Walk with a friend  and during daylight hours if possible.  Invest in a noise maker to carry with you.  Make it part of your walking uniform along with your flashlight and pick-up bag.  Be careful!

A report has been made of an alligator sighting in the QP North lake (Berkeley).  These sightings are very common throughout SW Fl.  As I mention above with the coyote, we are not on the top of the food chain here.  Maintain close supervision of your children and pets.  NO swimming in the lakes!  A of websites that may help are:

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission Alligator facts

***Ability Management nor QP HOA has not authorized any company to paint your house numbers on the street.. This is a scam. Please do not fall victim. Report any person or company aleging they have Association or Management approval to do work in our community or your home.***

Reminder - If you are Selling or Renting your home you must file a sign form and your purchaser/renter must file a application.  These are found on the Douments Page.

We need your help!

Queens Park wants you to be involved in making our neighborhood the best place to live in Naples.  Come to our monthly meetings and make your feelings heard.  Volunteer to serve on one of our committees or run for a seat on the Board of Directors.  We want to work with our members to slove problems.  So come to our meetings and make your voices heard.

Thanks,
Richard Stanfield, B.O.D. President
